a "big sister" room

with at least seven weeks to go until sophia arrives, i really wanted to surprise isabella with a room re-do. as i mentioned in my previous post, we've been talking all about becoming a "big sister" and how they sleep in "big sister" beds. since we needed the crib for sophia, we needed to get bella into a bed anyways. i really wanted her to feel special and start this transition before the baby. we were given a dresser and bed frame which i refinished and all we had to do was buy a mattress which i scored for fifty five dollars new! jim has off fridays so he took her out for a "daddy, daughter date" while i worked away at her room. lets just say it was a bit back breaking because everything had to be just perfect but worth it!

 i can't express how proud i am of this big girl and how well she's done with yet another transition. she's on her third night in her big bed and has sleep through the night and all her naps. she even stays when she wakes up and just calls for us to get her. this mama's heart is sad but also overwhelmed with joy as i watch my little girl grow...i thank god for this precious gift and another on the way.
