my husband loves asian food. he could seriously eat it all the time. as for me, i could care less to ever eat it. although, i've become a fan of japanese food (not seafood). we have this yummy japanese restaurant close to our home in maine called yoshi. infact, we may be going there tuesday for our date night, thanks to a friend who's going to watch isabella.
here's my concoction. jim very much enjoyed this.
8 oz soba or udon noodles (you can fine these for $1 at ocean state)
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tbsp sugar
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp rice vinegar
2 tbsp pure sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon hot chile sauce (i use sriracha)
3 tbsp canola oil
2 tbsp hot water
4 green onions, sliced thin
handful of baby spinach
cabbage (i added because i had it left over from another meal)
whisk together the soy sauce, sugar, garlic, vinegar, sesame oil, chile sauce, canola oil and water in a bowl.
prepare the noodles of your choice per instructions. mix the noodles with the sauce until evenly coated. Toss in the green onions and serve. enjoy.
