so it begins...

my sweet isabella has been having a bit of a rough time lately. the coming of age two is not her finest. i know all kids go through stages but we've never had to deal with this with her before. she's becoming demanding and likes to throw mini tantrums. i know we could have it a lot worse but for us, it's not what we're used to and have had it easy this far. this past week she's been having what we think is separation anxiety. she's refusing to stay in bed at night. at first we thought it was night terrors since she was waking up screaming but then we realized she just wanted her daddy. jim went away for a few days and typically he does the bed time routine with her and with him not there it must have effected her somehow. jim's been having to hold her until she falls asleep but she wont rest and ends up staying up all hours. she literally has to hold him. she's OBSESSED with her dad! we feel exhausted and not sure what steps to take as she's been an amazing sleeper until now. i guess you can say this couldn't of happened at a worse time as we begin to get ready to welcome Sophia any day. praying this is what we hope to be a phase to end soon...or i think i may lose it! feel free to pass along any helpful hints.
