what's cooking: yummy in my tummy hummus.

since i've been asked for my recipe a few times recently, i decided to post it. i'm seriously obsessed with hummus. i make it once a week because we all eat it. we eat it on carrot and celery sticks, cucumbers, triscuts, bagel chips and its amazing on sandwiches! super easy and very inexpensive to make.

Basic Hummus.

2 cans of chick peas
1 to 2 tbs tahini (natural living and ocean state is the cheapest and lasts up to year in the fridge)
4/5 garlic cloves (depending on how much garlic you like)
1 pinch of salt
1 to 2 tbs lemon juice

*Add roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts or kalamata olives to basic hummus

you need to experiment on the taste because each time i make it different depending on how i'm feeling.

in a food processor blend 2 cans of chick peas, reserving one can of chick pea liquid. add liquid, tahini, lemon juice, salt and garlic cloves. at the end i add a little olive oil as it blend. paprika on top for look and taste.

Enjoy!
