isabella update.

do you remember me saying in one of my last posts how i love this age she's at? we'll i sort of take it back! don't get me wrong, she is so much fun but man does this girl have an attitude! ha! i guess i should have assumed it was coming soon but was praying it would skip a generation. there have been some challenging days for sure but i feel its the days we are stuck home all day that are the worse. i've been trying to get her out for play dates when i have a car, go for walks (she loves walks and long ones too), or just a stroll around the block in her wagon. if something doesn't go her way she starts to grunt, throws her head back and whines. we're working on getting her through it and i know in time it will be fine. she's also very destructive and loves to rip things apart. ugh! she really is one of the sweetest little girls and loves everyone.

she's super into reading lately. we have books all over the house...in her room, the living room and the downstairs playroom. she is now at the age where she will snuggle up on our laps and make it through a whole book. i love it! she is talking so well. although, she gets super shy talking in front of other people. she seriously talks all day long. she's obsessed with balls and dogs or "doh" as she would say. she wakes up saying, "woof woof." her newest words are: baby or be-be (with a little accent). mum, book and eye. she knows where her nose, eyes and tummy are. our new adventure is spending time learning animals and their sounds. as i said, she knows dog and woof; she knows a cat says meow; a lion roars and a monkey says, ooh ohh-ah ah. she has several books with pictures of animals that she insists we read all day, every day :)
i'm also trying to teach her to sign. so far she knows, "more" and "all done." she is so big and learning so quickly that it's hard to remember everything but i'm so proud of her and where she is at.
i'm also excited to start babysitting again. she loves having friends around and i think they will all love their new learning/playroom. i still have a few more things to do but...in time. well that's all i can think of right now...always more to come.

snuggling with her dad while reading about animals.

such a big girl.

she loves to plop down on the hard floor and read.

      family day at the park.
