a little catching up:
jim and i are HUGE lovers of christmas. it's the happiest time of year. christmas = family time. family is such an important part of our life.
this year we visit with my family in massachusetts and then to pa. isabella loved everything about christmas. the lights, the wrapping paper and all the sugary treats. it was so precious to see her face on christmas. she was more impressed with all the paper and boxes than the actual gifts. there were a few gifts left under the tree for some of the other kids, well little miss bella couldn't wait and decided to start tearing the paper away each day until they got back. this mama did a lot of re wrapping.
as always, there were lots of yummy food and good company to share this holiday with. BLESSED beyond for our wonder families.
this year jim was able to take a bit more time off since he had about 90 hours to use by the end of the year (this man likes to work), not that he got to use it all, two weeks away from "reality" was quite nice. of course we missed friends back in maine. we were able to ring in the new year and celebrate jim's birthday with his family is always special for him. although, this year he got hit with the "nasty" flu that is on the night of his birthday. poor guy was knocked out for six days. this mama was glad to have others around to lend a hand.
sadly, jim and the funari men had a rough ending to our time at home. ND lost the BCS championship. now, if you know the funari guys at all, you know they are hardcore ND fans. all and all it was a great year for them and we await another in 2013.
