homemade hand soap

in our house we go through a lot of hand soap. we like to be clean, who doesn't? after research, i found one that i think will work.

Here's what you need:cheese grater (from the dollar store)
2 tbs of liquid glycerin (found in the band aid section at walmart)
1 - 8 oz bar of soap (i used ivory because i go it for $1)
1 gallon of distilled water (i refilled an old gallon container with water and let it sit overnight)

Step 1:
grate entire bar of soap

Step 2:
fill a pot with 1 gallon of distilled water and soap shavings.

Step 3:
add 2 tbs of liquid glycerin and turn the heat on medium/high ad stir until soap dissolves.

Step 4:
once the soap dissolves, it will look like soapy water

Step 5:
let stand for 10-12 hours to cool.

Step 6:
after it has cooled completely for 12 hours later it will look like liquid soap.

Step 7:
stir the soap until it's no longer clumpy.

Step 8:
refill you soap dispenser.
